The Aquatic Invasive Species Commission Report and Recommendations: Improving the Prevention, Eradication, Control and Mitigation of Aquatic Invasive Species (2023)

The Aquatic Invasive Species (AIS) Commission was established by key members of the outdoor recreation industry to help stop and reverse the introduction and spread of AIS. The recommendations in this report aim to address major AIS challenges in the United States.

Watercraft Inspection and Decontamination Manual (2022)

The Watercraft Inspection and Decontamination (WID) Manual is the standard training document for inspectors and decontaminators, which includes nationally approved protocols to stop the spread of invasive species on recreational conveyances.

The Watercraft Inspection and Decontamination (WID) Trainer's Manual is the standard training document to prepare leadership to teach watercraft inspection and decontamination.

State of Colorado's Aquatic Nuisance Species Management Plan (2020)

The Colorado Aquatic Nuisance Species Management Plan is part of a multi-jurisdictional collaborative effort to prevent and contain aquatic nuisance species to avoid or mitigate negative impacts to natural resources, outdoor recreation, and water infrastructure.

Official State of Colorado Watercraft Inspection and Decontamination Procedures (2020)

The CPW procedures documented in this training manual have been proven to reduce the risk of mussels and other ANS being introduced into our precious waters, through the implementation of a risk-based prevention and containment watercraft inspection and decontamination program.

Updated Recommendations for the Quagga and Zebra Mussel Action Plan for Western U.S. Waters   QZAP 2.0 (2020)

The Western Regional Panel on ANS prepared QZAP 2.0 to inform ongoing management and partnership efforts intended to minimize the spread and impacts from zebra and quagga mussels in the western United States.

Building Consensus in the West Workgroup Final Activity Report (2019)

The WRP’s Building Consensus in the West Workgroup was a multi-year process to facilitate an ongoing discussion among state and federal agencies to produce science-based standard protocols and procedures for preventing the further spread of zebra and quagga mussels in the west via recreational watercraft.
